The drive to work on Sunday was made all the more pleasant by a most awesome sunrise. Since I drive westward, I can only say that my eyes were glued to the rear view mirror. This incredible sunrise started as a pink strip below a deep purple low-lying cloud. That pink strip continued to grow in height until the entire eastern sky was bursting with pink.
Wish I had taken the camera with me..

Christmas at the Capitol

Had to go near the capitol last week and was able to take in the christmas trees on display. Most impressive. Three floors, 90 trees decorated by various organizations. And the Piece de resistance: a wonderful three-story tree.

You have got to shop here...
Whilst driving around in a daze in April trying to find a home, we drove past this place. Turned around to snap this picture, just had to.

Well, it so happens that when I drove past earlier this week , this sign was posted:
Curt, who owns this lovely place is wanting to move closer to his grandchildren. He wants to sell the house and inventory or find someone to run the business. In the meantime, he's selling all this stuff for really cheap! Told him what I was looking for, and he pointed out where I should "go look".
After a guided tour of the place, all I can say is WOW! Incredible house, and does he have the stuff! And it's all sorted, not just piles of junk. And he knows where everything is.
I'd love to own this place, I really would. The courtyard is incredible!

Busy, busy
More vendors at the farmers' market -- fresh asparagus, eggs, honey, green onions, rhubarb and lots of bedding plants and perennials. I just love the vibrancy of a farmers' market in the spring!
And the Art & About Spring Gallery Tour was a total success! We had a great time at the Burtard Studio greeting customers and talking about our art - and selling some of it! And all the artist friends who stopped and spent some time with us. What great friends they are - I'm smiling right now thinking of how they appreciated our various works and encouraged us to continue on.
I'm all pumped for the next tour and have a couple 20 or so new sketches of items to start working on - the ideas never stop.
