Christmas at the Capitol

Had to go near the capitol last week and was able to take in the christmas trees on display. Most impressive. Three floors, 90 trees decorated by various organizations. And the Piece de resistance: a wonderful three-story tree.

It's been a while...

Oh, it's been too long I know. Still settling into the new digs and adjusting to the new location and having a fun, fun time making new friends.

Watch for more posts as I catch up on the blogging business...have lists of ideas.

You have got to shop here...

Whilst driving around in a daze in April trying to find a home, we drove past this place. Turned around to snap this picture, just had to.

Well, it so happens that when I drove past earlier this week , this sign was posted:

Curt, who owns this lovely place is wanting to move closer to his grandchildren. He wants to sell the house and inventory or find someone to run the business. In the meantime, he's selling all this stuff for really cheap! Told him what I was looking for, and he pointed out where I should "go look".

After a guided tour of the place, all I can say is WOW! Incredible house, and does he have the stuff! And it's all sorted, not just piles of junk. And he knows where everything is.

I'd love to own this place, I really would. The courtyard is incredible!

Gathering day today with some of my best ever girlfriends for coffee and fun, and I'll bet some planning for future gatherings.

We're foodies, urban gardeners or artisans. I love all these gals - they are such incredible women. They don't know each other, although I know each of them. Let the talkin' begin..................

Local Earth Day activities have propelled some folks in our community into action. My good pal Soozee and I are putting on an Urban Gardening seminar/gathering at our favorite hangout - Stumpjack Coffee Company. So exciting!

Watch for a poster, I'll get one up as soon as it's finalized.

Now for some chai and an incredible treat from Jin - I'm so glad David & Kim sell her goddess food at the Stump.
